Reading for Feb 26: Deuteronomy - All
Psalms 19-20
The
story of salvation, Genesis to Revelation to now, is a long, winding path of
God's faithfulness and man's foolishness.
Our God is displayed over and over again as One who is determined to
bring about His purposes. His eternal
power and wisdom operate in time and space that leaves the observant in awe of
His goodness and power. But the
stubborn, mindless, self-inflicting activity of mankind, leaves us speechless
as to why God would continue to work out such an amazing plan with such
fragile, weak, and sin-loving children.
The only explanation that makes sense and that matches reality is the
proclamation of God's love to wayward sinners, calling them into relationship
with Himself by the sin-bearing sacrifice of the Son of God.
